Managing pain while on the toilet

I wanted to share some tips for dealing with pain while on the 🚽 that I have found helpful!
1. Distraction! Whether it’s stuff on my phone, a book, a magazine, watching something on a screen or listening to something, if I’m struggling with pain while having bowel movements for me, distraction is most helpful and easy to implement.
2. Temperature change – using a warm or cold washcloth on the back of my neck or my forehead helps me focus on something other than the pain.
3. Position change – using a stool or squatty potty or shifting my weight has helped to mitigate the pain a little bit.
