On the go bathroom kits
It’s always a good thing to carry an emergency to-go bathroom kit just in case. I have a small makeup bag that I can easily move from bag to bag for when I am in remission, a larger one for flares and one for travel. You can always use pencil pouches, backpacks, toiletry bags, or even a ziplock to keep all your items in one place. Each one of my bags are slightly different.
When I am in remission my mini kit has the following essentials:
-underwear
-package of tissues (this has saved me in many countries when toilet paper is sparse)
-hand sanitizer
-hand soap sheets
Larger kits often also include a pair of leggings that fold up small, a plastic trash bag, and a compressed towel. Some include extra IBD meds if I am traveling and a range of as needed over the counter medications I might need. At first I felt over prepared but the first time it came in handy, I never left the house without it again! 😀
