Rectal pain is a topic that I am familiar with, as I experience quite a bit of it. I currently have an internal J-pouch in place of an ostomy. This means most of my rectum has been removed and only a few centimeter remain. Because of this, I tend to have bit of rectal pain which is caused by cuffitis. Lately, I have found the following to be most helpful in managing my pain:
– using one Mesalamine 1000 mg suppository every night
– using Full spectrum CBD (I have a certain brand I prefer over others because it’s quality assurance verified in a lab)
– taking a daily probiotic
– using a nifedipine/lidocaine topical ointment
– and using wet wipes
