Being nice to myself is hard. It’s so much easier to give other people grace and kindness. However, one thing I’ve seen time and time again is that the harsher I am with myself, the worse my physical symptoms become. AND, I then become more emotional and fatigued.
So day by day, I’m trying to remind myself: self-care and compassion. Don’t be a bully to yourself. Treat yourself with the same compassion you’d show your loved ones.
It doesn’t change our symptoms or reality. But it does enable us to feel calmer, knowing that we’re doing our best and coping with what we’ve been given.
You deserve to be loved – by yourself ❤️
