Yummy meal tip to help you during a flare
When I was in the midst of an awful ulcerative colitis flare, I discovered a recipe that filled me up, gave me nourishment, and caused less pain and fewer urgent bowel movements compared to any other meal I ate.
I cooked white rice with bone broth instead of water. 🍚 White rice is less fibrous than brown rice, and the bone broth added more flavor and nutrients than water.
I paired this with saltine crackers and orange juice. Until my new meds kicked in, I ate this simple meal every day. I was even able to go to work those days because this easy-to-digest meal helped me spend far less time in the bathroom!
